rufftackle
Was looking at booking at Hotwire Hot Rate for Orlando on 2/8 for one night. When I did one room the Hot Rate was $137 a room, but when I modified to say I needed 2 rooms it jumped to almost $199 a night. I've never booked two rooms before, so I'm looking for advice on what the best approach is. I suppose having 2 rooms selected guarantees both of us stay at the same hotel and that's what inflates the cost? Link to comment
thereuare
Two likely scenarios: 1) only one room left at the $137/nite rate and the next room is priced at $261... so when you add the 2nd room you're seeing the average at $199/nite 2) only one room available at the $137 property and when you change the search to 2 rooms you're seeing the next best priced hotel in the system that has 2 rooms available... it's priced at $199 What is the star rating, zone, and amenities of the hotel(s) being offered at the prices above? thereuare
Thanks for letting us know what you decided. If your reservation is refundable i'd have another look at HOTWIRE in the coming days to see if a lower price appears for 2 rooms. Have a great stay.
